Newsletter Issue 03 - Settembre 2017

IBC has just concluded. If you were there, we hope you had a productive time at the show and a grand time in Amsterdam too. For those who came by to visit us at our stand, thank you very much for dropping by. We do appreciate it.

As everyone gets back to work after IBC, MediaPower also goes back to regular programming with a new issue of our newsletter. We have a diverse set of topics in this issue. Of course, fresh out of IBC, our CEO Marcello Dellepiane shares some of his thoughts on this year's show. Beyond IBC, we take a look at some upcoming disruptions to the TV industry, how T-commerce is evolving and the growing importance of metadata. We also feature some insights on the changing role of data in the broadcast and media space, the value of archiving and whether broadcasting in 4K is worth all the expense. There's also an interesting look into what powers Canada's biggest supercomputer.

As always, do let us know of any feedback regarding these articles or our newsletter issues. Thank you and happy reading!
