Newsletter Issue 04 - Dicembre 2017

It's the holiday season! So before we go ahead and look at the latest industry news and trends in the last quarter, we'd like to wish you a joyous holiday season and thank you for following our newsletter. Our readership has grown since we started this in March, thanks to you!

This issue is but another reflection of some of the most prominent trends that have taken over 2017. In Broadcast and Media, the biggest industry shift is OTT and Streaming Services. We have a few articles on OTT including some insights into the OTT revolution, F1's streaming service in 2018, and the diversity of OTT services.

Explore our Internet, Web and OTT solutions

Of course, we can not get away from A.I. and Machine Learning. It's just a big part of any technology-driven industry these days - practically any industry, task, or function where automation and data are driving forces. And in no way does it only seem like a passing trend - it's out to affect our lives in all aspects, including the way we consume media. We even wrote an article on the different use cases of AI in Broadcast and Media.

We're also covering some announcements on our partnerships with Boulder Creek and Sodyo Technology. There are also some articles on the new HDMI spec that supports 10K, the arrival of LTO-8, and a couple of whitepapers on the value of robotic cameras and saving CDN costs with quality-based rate control.

Ok, sorry we're practically rambling with that lengthy introduction. Let's just get on with articles. Happy reading and see you next year!
