Manhattan NRCS by MediaPower: integrated digital newsroom designed for the future

MediaPower announces the availability of Manhattan NRCS, a new digital solution designed to optimise the entire news production cycle. Based on the proprietary modular ARKKI platform, Manhattan is developed to support every phase of the newsroom workflow: from news gathering and planning to production and multi-platform distribution.

Natively developed, with no external integration

Manhattan NRCS is fully developed in-house by MediaPower. Its proprietary architecture ensures functional consistency and flexibility, eliminating the need for third-party modules.

The system can be deployed on-premise or in cloud environments compliant with AWS or Microsoft Azure standards, and offers full compatibility with CMS and social media platforms.

A scalable and web-based system

The user interface is entirely web-based and leverages advanced technologies (WASM). It enables proxy-free media handling, the creation of temporal placeholders, and scheduling of newscasts on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Journalists are automatically assigned tasks upon login and can edit materials in MS Office/Open Office formats, record voice-overs and manage video content through the integrated editor.

Archive integration and intelligent resource management

Manhattan NRCS includes advanced tools for content archiving, search and management. Thanks to the garbage collection function, unarchived files are automatically deleted according to custom retention policies.

The interface allows users to move content easily between the archive and active workspace, ensuring continuous availability of media resources.

Remote collaboration and shared work environments

The system supports virtual collaborative environments by integrating NAS/DAS storage with shared spaces accessible via client-server applications.

Adobe extensions and the web interface streamline distributed workflows and efficient file management, including remote editing and timeline processing.

Full coverage for a modern newsroom

From news gathering to publishing across digital channels, Manhattan NRCS supports text, video, images and audio from external feeds, websites, news agencies and audiovisual archives.

All production stages are centralised, improving time-to-air and editorial quality.

Security, efficiency and scalability

The system ensures advanced content protection, encrypted and controlled access, and simplified workflows. Newsrooms benefit from flexible project management, shorter production cycles and enhanced distribution capacity.

A solution for broadcasters of all sizes

Manhattan NRCS targets national and local broadcasters, news agencies and digital editorial teams, offering a cost-effective solution adaptable to diverse workflows.

With over 30 years of experience in media systems integration, MediaPower positions Manhattan as a reference platform for all-news production.

The official launch includes a pre-release phase already underway, with customised demonstrations available on request.

In parallel, MediaPower is launching an international partnership programme targeting system integrators and industry professionals to promote the adoption of the ARKKI suite and the Manhattan platform.
